Interested in hosting a table at this year’s World Food Fair but want to learn more before signing up? Check out these frequently asked questions to learn more!

What is a table host?

Can I serve with a group?! How does that work?

If I decide to host a table, what exactly am I saying yes to?

Great question! There are a few commitments or expectations involved. They are:

Provide 200-600, depending on your campus, already cooked/prepared food bites (think taste-tester, not meal) to give away to people attending the World Food Fair.

Communicate your menu and other relevant allergy information to the Willow team within the timeframe requested.

Decorate your table to reflect the country or region of your food’s origin. Be creative!

Follow Food Safety Guidelines in the preparation and serving of food.

Be available to serve for the entirety of the event at your campus.

If I decide to host with a group, do we all need to sign up?

When is the World Food Fair (WFF) this year?

Which locations are participating?

Will WFF be operating after both services?

What happens if there is bad weather? Is there a rain date?

What support do you provide to table hosts?

The church provides table hosts with the supplies needed to host the table with a little flair. We’ll provide paper goods like cups or trays to serve the food in, gloves, forks or spoons, napkins, a warming kit if you need it, a flag that represents the country your dish comes from and a sign to tell attendees about your dish and warn of any allergies.

We also know there is a financial cost to hosting a table. We don’t want the cost to be a barrier to participating as a table host. If you need help offsetting the costs of hosting, Willow may be able to provide reimbursement for your expenses up to $100. Certain criteria must be followed: you will be asked to provide itemized receipts of your expenses, you will only be reimbursed after the event is completed, only one reimbursement per table, all required documentation is completed, etc.
