Camp is a five-day retreat designed for dads and their kids to create rich memories together.
Camp Paradise offers quality teaching, focused one-on-one time with your child, and adventurous activities that can deepen your relationships and spiritual perspective. Bring your son or daughter to conquer the 50-foot climbing tower, wake up early to canoe along the Tahquamenon River, explore our hiking trails, learn to shoot at our archery/bb gun range, and enjoy the evening campfires. There are an abundance of fun camp activities to experience together.
The Dads Camp session request period is March 1-8, 2019.
It is not first-come, first-serve. Submit your request for a Dads Camp session any time during March 1-8.
The cost of one Dads Camp session is $425 per pair.
If you are experiencing financial difficulties and are in need of scholarship assistance, email your request to the Camp office as soon as possible, or call (224) 512-2275 for more information. We will do our best to assist you! However, please note that funds are limited. We cannot provide assistance for multiple camps for the same family, or provide continuing assistance to a family from one year to the next.
With no electricity and no running water, Camp Paradise is not for the faint of heart. There are hand pump wells, wood-burning water heaters, and Camp Paradise original bucket showers. Clean, comfortable cabins are outfitted with bunk beds and shelves for you and your child to have your own space among your cabin mates. The state-of-the-art kitchen and dining room are in the Lodge, where three delicious home-cooked meals are served each day. Camp Paradise’s Pavillion serves as our camp store and our game room. While dads are experiencing solitude, kids can craft and learn in our Longhouse with their friends and leaders. Every morning, all of camp gathers together in our Chapel—the most beautiful building on the Tahquamenon River. It is a quarter-mile walk from our Lodge, the perfect place to worship, celebrate, and reflect.
Dads Camps are available for fathers to bring their son or daughter (ages 8–12). Come and experience an adventure that will give you a foundation for a growing relationship to last a lifetime.
