Volunteer Opportunities

Premarital Mentors

We are looking for couples with good listening skills, a willingness to enter into sometimes difficult and delicate conversations, and a strong desire to help couples begin their new lives together in a healthy, Christ-centered way. As mentors, you will help prepare a couple through two-on-two sessions of premarital counseling and assist in pre-marriage workshops.

Premarital counseling usually runs 6-8 weeks and workshops vary based on availability.

VOLUNTEER AS A MENTOR

Wedding Coordinator

The wedding coordinator serves as a liaison between the wedding couple and the church and oversees almost every detail regarding the ceremony, decor, and rehearsal. The Coordinator’s desire is to to serve the wedding couple, their families, and their guests by helping to minimize stress and confusion and maximize joy on the wedding day. We are looking for people with excellent organizational skills, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to lead others in high-energy situations.

All those wishing to serve as wedding coordinators must first serve as wedding assistants to learn the flow and responsibilities related to managing an amazing wedding ceremony.

 

Wedding Assistant

The primary responsibility of the wedding assistant is to assist the wedding coordinator in providing a smooth experience for the bride and groom. Some of the most important tasks include setting up all decor for the wedding and helping in tear down and clean up afterwards. We are looking for people with a servant’s heart, able to take instructions and execute efficiently and with enthusiasm.
