Internship Program

Willow Creek’s internship experience provides future ministry leaders with opportunities that inspire them to develop their passion for ministry.

Internship Focus:

  • Spiritual Formation: Interns will grow in faith through Bible study, prayer, worship, and other spiritual disciplines.
  • Ministry Experience: Interns will engage in areas like Willow Kids, Willow Students, and Compassion & Justice, learning to plan events and collaborate with ministry leaders.
  • Leadership Development: Interns will enhance leadership skills through training, mentoring, and event management opportunities.

Internship Logistics:

  • Applications are accepted from now through March 30.
  • Internships are paid $15/hr, and occur over 10-weeks at 40 hours per week.
  • Preference is for full-time students or recent graduates of an accredited college or university.
  • Has a strong desire to pursue vocational ministry after college or is exploring if this is a path they want to pursue.
  • Must be 18 or older to apply.

 

Internship Types

There are a wide number of internship opportunities, including:

  1. Marcom: The Marketing and Communications Ministry option provides you the opportunity to utilize your graphic design, marketing, or communication skills in a variety of projects throughout Willow.
  2. Creative Arts & Worship: The Creative Arts & Worship internship options provides a formal opportunity for all ministry majors interested in leading worship or creative filmmaking to elevate weekend services.
  3. Groups Ministry: The Groups Ministry option allows you to dive deeper into discipleship. You’ll be given opportunities to lead, equip, and support groups during our summer term.
  4. Student Ministry: The Student Ministry option gives you the opportunity to elevate our student ministry programs, specifically in our summer initiatives and camps.
  5. Compassion & Justice: The C&J Ministry option allows you to lead in our Compassion & Justice ministry by serving in the Care Center and supporting global serving teams around the world.
  6. Central Operations: The Central Operations options would provide you with an opportunity to lead large scale projects (think events, IT, or special weekend projects) to support operations initiatives on a large scale basis.
  7. Willow Kids: The Willow Kids Ministry option will provide you with a rich experience to learn and elevate our kids ministry programs, specifically from babies through 6th grade.
