How best can we look for and become strong and godly leaders? The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy to encourage him in the faith and affirm his leadership and abilities, and he provided guidelines about choosing leaders. In his 2nd letter, Paul encourages Timothy to “fan the flame the gift of God that is in you”. His words continue to counsel and inspire all who seek and serve God. As we study 1st Timothy and begin 2nd Timothy this semester, we will learn how to apply these truths to our daily lives. We will also study Titus next semester.
