Willow Chicago Parents
At Willow Chicago, we strongly believe in the power of community, and there are many ways for parents to connect with other parents. After all, we all could use support in doing the hardest and best job we've ever been given—raising a child! Connect with other parents through our Moms' Group, serving events, classes, small groups, or family fun events.
A small group is a gathering of friends, neighbors, or people with whom you share a common interest, seeking to develop deeper relationships while studying together. The size is usually between 10 and 15 and the groups meet weekly for 10 weeks three times a year (Spring, Summer, and Fall).
Our Moms' Group is a group for (you guessed it) moms! Moms like you gather on a regular basis for Bible studies, play groups, coffee hour, and just to hang out and talk. If you'd like to get information on the latest opportunities to connect with other moms, contact Rebekah Zuniga.
Protecting Your Children
We put a high priority on your child’s safety. Every Sunday morning, the Ministry Center (where kids and infants through 3rd grade meet) is on “lock down” from 9 a.m. to 20 minutes after the service ends. This means only Promiseland children, screened volunteers, identified parents, and Willow Chicago staff will be allowed to enter the Ministry Center. A Chicago Police Officer will greet your family every Sunday morning and will remain at the entrance for the entire length of the service. He or she will also check for each parent’s security tag to re-enter the building after service ends. Individuals who are not picking up children will be asked to return to the Ministry Center after lock-down has ended.
