Getting married at Willow Crystal Lake
We are excited to walk a pre-marriage journey with you! Research indicates that premarital preparation has a positive impact toward having a thriving marriage. For couples who call Willow their home church and desire to be married by a Willow officiate, our pre-marriage preparation consists of a meeting with a mentor couple for a minimum of 4 meetings, a couple assessment, and culminates in a conversation with a wedding liaison and officiate who will listen to your journey.
Step 1: Application for a Mentor Couple
We offer mentoring designed to help you look at your relationship and compatibility by exploring communication styles, faith, personalities and understanding the relationships from the family in which you grew up as a child. It is best to start the mentoring process at least 4-6 monthsbeforeyour wedding date. Online application.
Step 2: Couple Check Up
Once you’ve been assigned a mentor couple you will be asked to complete an online assessment and consent to release information form. This Couple Check Up, designed by will prepare you to set up your conversation with your pre-marriage mentors. Cost to couple: $35.
Step 3: Your Willow Officiate
This conversation will take place with your Willow Crystal Lake officiate after your mentoring is completed. Reviewing your journey will be an opportunity to share the story you desire for your future marriage and to plan a wedding custom designed for the two of you. An officiate will be assigned to you upon completion of the mentoring process. If you’d like to have your mentors perform your ceremony please let them know.
Step 4: Planning a Wedding in Willow Crystal Lake’s Student Auditorium
In order to reserve our student auditorium for your wedding you will need to first complete steps 1–3.
Wedding fee: $300. Wedding officiate fees: $350
