Alpha is a series of gatherings where people can explore the big questions of life. No matter where you are in your faith journey Alpha is a place you can ask the questions you were afraid to ask anywhere else.
We’ll begin our 10-week series, Thursday, January 18, over dinner at Willow Crystal Lake. Everyone is welcome–dinner is free, though registration is required. We’ll get know each other and build community. In fact, each week we’ll start with dinner and catch-up on how everyone is doing.
As our time progresses, we’ll we’ll hear a short talk about different aspects of faith that are meant to engage and inspire conversation. The Alpha talks are delivered by a Willow teacher or via video. They’ll explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions like, “Who is Jesus?”, “How can we have faith?” and “Why and how do I pray?” You can check out one of the talks here.
And then the most important part of our gathering is the chance for people to share thoughts and ideas on the night’s topic. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t say. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.
