About Willow Chicago
We are Willow Chicago, a church committed to loving everyone, always and extending the hope and grace of Jesus to our neighbors near and far. Willow Chicago is a church that strives to reflect the unique collection of people who call it home. We are a church that champions multiculturalism and encourages our community members to embrace each others' unique differences.
The Fellowship of the Believers
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” – Acts 2:42
Willow Chicago follows the church model set forth in Acts 2. As a church, we aim to be a community that is increasingly invitational by providing opportunities to foster fully devoted followers of Christ. We do this through classes and workshops designed to help you discover and use your God-given gifts. We aim to Love Everyone, Always by encouraging multicultural community and city engagement. We pray together for the betterment of each other, our city, our nation, and our world.
Willow Chicago's Sunday Services are at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at 1319-1347 S State St. We offer Promiseland (children's ministry) at both services, and Elevate & Impact (middle school & high school) meet during the 11 a.m. service. We also offer sign language interpretation during our 9 a.m. service.
Each service begins with 15 minutes of worship, lead by the Willow Chicago Worship Team. We then have a time of announcements to learn what's happening in our church, and then we generally transition into a video message from our main Willow Creek campus in South Barrington, IL. We occasionally have live teachings instead of video teaching, and we also sometimes add other creative elements to service, such as storytelling, spoken word, or special music.
For kids: Infants to grade 5 attend Promiseland during both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday services. Promiseland takes place in the lower level of our building, which can be accessed through both the north entrance (1319 S State St) and the south entrance (1347 S State St).
For students: Middle school students (Elevate) and high school students (Impact) can attend a student ministries program during the 11 a.m. service only. They will meet in the Student Ministries room, which can be accessed through the north entrance of the building (1319 S State St).
Willow Chicago offers limited "first come, first served" parking onsite at our permanent home in our north lot (1319 S State St) and our south lot (1347 S State St). Additionally, vochered overflow parking, though not guaranteed during the NFL season, is available at 1 E 8th St. Parking vouchers will be distributed after both services.

Current Series: Awestruck
Even as we hurry toward Christmas we long to be stopped in our tracks, to be shaken out of our ordinary, and to be caught up by wonder and the realization that something bigger is at work. We long to be so captivated, so caught up, so in awe that words seem to bubble-up unbidden. We long to be Awestruck. Starting November 25, we'll explore four stories from Luke's gospel that show the extraordinary work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of ordinary people. This season, may we find ourselves awestruck.
November 25: Eugene Cho
December 2: Steve Gillen and Prison Pack Weekend
December 9: Albert Tate
December 16: Steve Gillen
In September 2017, Willow Chicago did a live teaching series called TRANSFORM surrounding our Permanent Home Building Campaign. This series helped bind us as a community and prepare our hearts for this exciting season of transition. Go to wctransform.org to watch these messages and learn about our journey into our permanent gathering space.
