Celebration of Hope at Willow Crystal Lake

Select a Willow Creek Location

Celebration of Hope is Willow Crystal Lake's annual campaign focused on global issues and how the local church is bringing hope and healing to their communities.

This Spring Willow Crystal Lake joins all of Willow in a celebrating the extraordinary people, churches, and organizations who courageously choose the brave path of hope. We were reminded of the endless pockets of beauty, grit, goodness, and grace in our world.

We have the opportunity to be challenged, transformed, and participate in keeping the holy work of hope alive!

"Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." Philippians 2:4

2018 Celebration of Hope kicks off on April 15 at our 9 and 11 a.m. service with an inspiring and informative message, via videocast, from Senior Pastor of Nairobi Chapel, Oscar Muriu. On April 22 we will learn from Willow's Lead Pastor Heather Larson and Teaching Pastor Steve Carter.. And we'll conclude our series with Daniele Strickland, co-founder of Infinitum and Amplify Peace.

Pack seeds. Bring Hope.

Each year, thousands of people gather at all the Willow locations to pack seeds for families in developing countries. Our goal is to end the cycle of poverty by providing both food and a source of income. Gather your family, small group, co-workers and friends and make a global impact!

Hope Box: Week 2

Who are you packing seeds with this week? If you haven’t yet signed up for a seed packing shift look at all of the opportunities available on the left side of this page. Seed packing is a Willow tradition during Celebration of Hope. Each packet provides seeds for vegetable garden to families fighting hunger in Africa. This year’s goal is to fill one million seed packs.

Have you decided when to host a meal that represents the daily reality of those experiencing hunger globally? Your Hope Box had a packet of rice and beans that illustrates the average meal size for those who live with hunger every day. Who are you inviting?

Run, walk, or push a stroller in World Vision's Global 6K

Over 50% of children around the world die before the age of 5 because they do not have access to clean safe drinking water. Whether you walk, run or push a stroller, you can bring clean water to a child in a developing country. Join us on Saturday, May 19, for the World Vision Global 6K and make a difference. Give generously

Our commitment to provide hope for kids will holistically protect and develop children in El Salvador and Zambia equipping them with strong spiritual leadership, safe neighborhoods, educational opportunities, sound nutrition, and economic possibilities. Your generous gift to Celebration of Hope 2018 will allow us to take new ground in community renewal alongside our church partners in Las Cruces, El Salvador and Chichi Island, Zambia. This year we hope to raise $80,000 to fund the following projects: building classrooms, eco stoves, street lights, microfinance loans, leadership development, and planting fruit trees. You can make your contribution in service on Sunday, April 15 by placing your gift in the COH envelope found in your Hope Box. Giving online will open on April 14. You can give here
