July 12 & 19

Our Compassion & Justice ministry is rallying our church to support students in our community heading back to school this fall. We hope to ease the financial burden of shopping for school supplies by collecting supplies for these families.

How you can help...

View the specific donations your campus is collecting below. You can purchase the items and drop them off in the main lobby at your campus on July 12 & 19 or you can buy the items via the Amazon Wish List to have them shipped directly to our locations.

Crystal Lake

As Willow Crystal Lake, we are partnering with District 47 to provide:

Ticonderoga #2 pencils (pre-sharpened 12-24 ct) – 1 box
Backpack (no wheels)
Binder 1.5 ” 3 ring
Crayola Colored pencils (12-24 ct) 1 box
Crayola Crayons 24 ct box
Elmers Glue sticks
Highlighter (yellow) & assorted colors
Plastic 2 pocket folders with prongs (primary colors)

Back to School Donations

At Willow South Barrington, we are preparing for the Care Center’s Back to School Bash, which serves over 3,000 students (Pre-K to 12th grade) from across the Chicagoland area. This free event provides students with backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, clothes, medical screenings, and more. To learn more or register for the Bash, click here.

This year, we are collecting the following items for the Care Center:

Scissors – Kids sizes

Back to School Bash @ the Care Center

July 23, 24, & 25

Registration is at capacity and is now closed. A limited number of walk-ins are welcome during the event, however we cannot guarantee that backpacks or additional services will be available for those who attend without a reservation.*

*Any remaining backpacks and supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis after the event. Items will be available from July 28 to August 1 during regular Care Center hours. To learn more and receive updates about this distribution, sign up here.

Serve at the Bash

We would love for you to be a part of making our Back to School Bash happen. There are a variety of opportunities to serve, including sorting backpacks and school supplies, greeting children and families as they arrive, serving in the Care Center in the Clothing Store or Market Plaza, and much more! Register to volunteer here.

Are you a dental or vision professional, or do work as a hairstylist? We would love for you to join us and provide complimentary haircuts and dental and vision screenings for students attending the Willow Creek Care Center’s Back to School Bash.
