Cesar and Denise grew up in Colombia, South America. There are many Colombian dishes, but one of the most famous is an appetizer called arepas. Arepas are the symbol of unity on the table; arepas can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any time as a snack. One of Cesar and Denise’s family traditions is to eat arepas with a hot chocolate on a cold day, or with a cold soda on a hot day. Their family recipe is so simple and easy, it just takes 45 minutes to prepare, but the best part of eating an arepa is to feel and taste the melted cheese in your mouth–delicious!
