Where there is great need, there is great opportunity.

Since March, the Care Center has experienced a 50% increase in demand for food. We currently provide food to more than 1,100 households each week, and our partner Greater Chicago Food Depository helps us feed 960 of those families. As unemployment continues to skyrocket, the requests for food will rise and create a gap between the need for food and our supply of it.

You can fill this gap by filling a box.

Together, let's fill 10,000 boxes of food and be the church to our neighbors by ensuring that anyone in need of food can receive it.

Step one: Build it
Boxes are available at the Care Center drive up of our South Barrington campus (67 Algonquin Road, South Barrington) from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. on Wednesdays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Pick one up and build it!

Step two: Fill it
Each box will contain 30 non-perishable food items, which we estimate will cost between $30–55. Click here to download a printable PDF to bring shopping with you! Check out additional guidelines below.

Please include the follow items in your box:

  • Peanut Butter - 1 Jar (16 oz)

  • Jelly (plastic container) - 1 Bottle (20 oz)

  • Chili - 2 Cans (15 oz)

Q: Do I have to pick up a box or can I shop for the items and bring them to the church?
A: You don't need to pick up a box in advance. Just use this shopping list, drive through the Care Center during our drop-off hours, grab a box, and fill it up!
