If there was ever a year to experience the joy of Christmas, this is it! With more than 10 miles of lights and 55 structures, the Winter Wonderland Walk is sure to be a high-light of your holiday season. Come by yourself, come with your family, invite some neighborhood friends—whatever you do, get out of the house and come make this December unforgettable!


Admission is free, but tickets are required to make sure the festivities are safe! The Winter Wonderland Walk will run from December 1–December 24.

  • Mondays: Closed
  • Tuesdays - Thursdays: 6:00-8:30 pm (Last entry is at 8:30pm)
  • Fridays & Saturdays: 5:00-8:30pm (Last entry is at 8:30pm)
  • Sundays: 5:00-7:30pm (Last entry at 7:30pm)
  • Monday, Dec 21 - Wednesday, Dec 23: 5:00-8:30pm (Last entry is at 8:30pm)
  • Thursday, Dec 24: 4:00-5:30pm (Last entry is at 5:30pm)

Ticket Update

Due to an overwhelming response, our Winter Wonderland Walk advance tickets are currently sold out. As ticket cancellations are made day-by-day, we will re-release these tickets at 9:30pm each night for the next day's tickets.   • When will cancelled tickets be available to be claimed?

    Last minute ticket availability will vary by day and we anticipate popular weekend dates will have less last minute cancellations, so we recommend checking for weeknights.

  • Is the Winter Wonder Walk outside?

    Yes! Completely. The path is less than a mile of walking with a few pit-stop experiences along the way.

  • Is the Wonderland Walk just lights, or are there other experiences?

    We'll have both interactive elements, moments to reflect on the beauty of the season, and a time to experience the Christmas story!

  • What age is this good for?

    All of them! Bundle up the babies, make the teens tag along, and link arms with the "young at heart" for this all-ages experience.

  • Is the walking path handicap accessible?

    Yes! You can find a list of ministries participating in theme nights during our December event below. Register to walk the event with them! Sign up for another time and bring your friends, family, and neighbors!

  • Where is this located?

    Winter Wonderland Walk is located at our South Barrington campus at 67 Algonquin Road, South Barrington. We recommend entering from our Algonquin road entrance located one block east of Barrington Road.

  • What COVID-19 protocols are in place at this event?

    Group sizes will be limited to 10 or less for walking together. Masks must be worn at all times. All attendees must be pre-registered per the Governor's plan. We will continue to adjust protocols in accordance with the State of Illinois' mitigation plan.

  • Where should I park?

    You can park anywhere on our campus. We recommend parking in the A, B and C parking lots, as they are located closest to the entrance of the Winter Wonderland Walk.

  • Do I need to print out my tickets?

    No, you can just show us your ticket confirmation on your mobile phone.

  • Do I need to wear a mask?

    Yes, everyone age 2 & up is required to wear a mask over their nose & mouth throughout the Winter Wonderland Walk. This helps protect you, our volunteers, and other participants. Thank you for doing your part to make this a safe experience for everyone in light of COVID-19.

  • How far is this walk?

    The Winter Wonderland Walk is about a ½ mile from the start to the finish. The entire path is a paved surface. Strollers & wheelchairs are welcomed.

  • Does everyone in my group need a ticket?

    Yes! Everyone aged 2 & up needs a ticket so that we can make sure that we are able to follow social distancing precautions by limiting the capacity.

  • What if I need to cancel my tickets or adjust the number of tickets?

    Please check your confirmation email as there is a link to adjust your ticket reservation. Otherwise, you can email us at [email protected] to get help. We appreciate you canceling any unused tickets so that the spots can be used by others.

  • Will there be food or hot drinks for sale?

    Due to COVID-19, we will not have any food or drinks for sale during this experience. You are welcome to bring your own along with you. No alcohol is allowed on the premises.
