Get ready for Summer Fest 2019!

Willow Creek’s creative team had a vision for something new for families this summer—and that vision became Summer Fest, the community festival happening this weekend, June 8 & 9, at Willow’s South Barrington campus.

“We’ve created a community-wide event that celebrates everyone: moms and dads, kids, teens, singles, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents,” says Leslie Shogren, programming operations director and point person for Summer Fest. “It’s a fantastic way to launch into summer with great memories already under our belts with those we love most.”

Summer Fest will fill the south parking lot (Lot D) with family-friendly activities of all sorts. Here’s what to expect—and how to become a charter member of the Summer Fest volunteer team:

SUMMER FEST SCHEDULE

Saturday, June 8

2–10 p.m. | Carnival rides, inflatables, games, and food trucks (Lot D)
5:30 p.m. | Author Eugene Cho brings the message “Somewhere to Be” as part of the family series One Big Happy?! (Main Auditorium). Free childcare and programs for infants–grade 8 (Main Lobby check-in near Entrances D and E)
7 p.m. | Free viewing of Lego Movie 2 (Main Auditorium)

Sunday, June 9

9 a.m. | Author Eugene Cho brings the message “Somewhere to Be” as part of the family series One Big Happy?! (Main Auditorium). Free childcare and programs for infants–grade 8 (Main Lobby check-in near Entrances D and E)
10 a.m.–4 p.m. | Carnival rides, inflatables, games, and food trucks (Lot D)
11:15 a.m. | Author Eugene Cho brings the message “Somewhere to Be” as part of the family series One Big Happy?! (Main Auditorium). Free childcare and programs for infants–grade 12 (Main Lobby check-in near Entrances D and E)

PRICING

Activities | FREE admission, inflatables, and showing of Lego Movie 2
Food | Food trucks and food stands will offer a variety of items for purchase. Harvest Food Court and the Café will also be open before and after service times. Prices set by individual vendors.
Carnival Rides | Unlimited access with purchase of $10 wristband, available at Summer Fest Information Booths (Main Lobby and at carnival entrances, Parking Lot D). Note: Free wristbands for kids & students on June 8 or 9. Includes Promiseland (infants–grade 5), Elevate (grades 6–8), Student Impact (grades 9–12), and Special Friends (kindergarten–adult with special needs).

RIDES, GAMES & INFLATABLES

Inflatables | Obstacle courses, slides, and moon jumps (all free)
Games | A variety of carnival midway games are available, cash only.
Carnival rides | Tilt-a-Whirl, Zero Gravity, Sizzler, Kiddie Ferris Wheel, and Dragon Wagon ($10 wristband provides unlimited access to all rides.)

VOLUNTEER

Join the Summer Fest Volunteer Team to help ensure every guest has a great experience. Help kids put on wristbands, answer questions, give directions, supervise activities, help at Harvest Food Court, and meet some new people! Greatest need: Inflatables supervisors. Sign up to volunteer.
