Willow Weekly June 20: A New Series and a World Record!

What Will You Cultivate?

This weekend, June 24/25Teaching Pastor Steve Carter launches the series Cultivate. "The Bible is rich with metaphors about planting, growing fruit, and pruning," says Steve. "Our lives are evidence of the work of God in our world through the good fruit we bear. And Galatians 5 tells us exactly what that good fruit is: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

Cultivate is a five-week series that will take a deep dive into Galatians 5:22–25. "I want to take a practical look at how we can grow in the fruit of the Spirit," continues Steve. "What does love actually look like? What is a life rooted in peace—and how do we get that? This will be a series that will challenge us all to cultivate good things in our lives."

Join us this weekend and learn how to cultivate good fruit in your life!

A Guinness World Record!

On Sunday, June 18, thousands gathered around the lake to play catch—and set a new Guinness World Record! "We wanted to gather families around a favorite pastime, giving them an opportunity to connect and have fun," says Steve Carter. The energy was palpable during the required five minutes of catch needed to set the record. "We did it!" continues Steve. "All of Willow came together and broke the record with 972 pairs. It's a memory that will last a long time!"
