Summer at Willow Creek

Summer at Willow Creek

Summer is in full swing at Willow Creek! We have a fantastic lineup of services and events to help you and your friends and family spend time together and grow with God. "DadFest was a great launch to our summer," says Teaching Pastor Steve Carter. "We learned from Ray Lewis and Ken Davis; thousands of people gathered, many coming to Willow for the first time; and we even captured another Guinness World Record!"

The whole summer is packed with fantastic teachers and post-service events. "We want this summer to be about connection," continues Steve. "Use these events as an opportunity to hang out and meet new people—you're always welcome to stay after services or picnic by the lake!"

30 Cars in June

Willow Creek's C.A.R.S. ministry is celebrating its 30th anniversary with an "Only God" goal: give away 30 cars in the month of June. "We have a very unique ministry that has impact beyond the walls of Willow," says C.A.R.S. Operations Director Lindsay Wagner. "This goal allowed us to extend incredible generosity to meet needs, and, more importantly, it gave us the opportunity to look people in the eyes and give a gift that shows the love of God."

The donors and recipients were highlighted at DadFest, with all 30 cars on display across the campus. Single-parent families and a recent immigrant who is training to be a pastor are among those receiving cars. One was donated by a woman who herself received a C.A.R.S. vehicle during a time of need. She was happy to pay it forward and bless another woman who needs it!

C.A.R.S. operates fully on the car donations it receives with the help of fantastic volunteers. Learn more about C.A.R.S. and discover ways you can support its incredible ministry here.
