Dear Enews Friends,
When I was younger, I had the chance to go to Arlington National Cemetery and lay a decorative wreath at the tomb of an unknown soldier. As I held the wreath and walked toward the site, there was a soldier playing "Taps" on a bugle. When I approached the tomb, I looked ahead and read an inscription that said, “Here rests in honored glory an American soldier known but to God.” This ceremony deeply marked me, and as I consider what Memorial Day weekend is all about, I’m profoundly humbled by the many people who have given their lives for our country.
This weekend at Willow, we have a fantastic opening worship run that will kick off our service. Then we’ll dive back into 1 Peter to continue our Grace + series. We’ll unpack key verses from chapter 2, so bring your Bible, invite a friend, and let’s learn together how grace changes everything! Look forward to seeing you there.
Grace + Peace,
P.S. Mark your calendars for next weekend, June 2 & 3, as well. We will celebrate all of our volunteers—it will be a highlight weekend!
