Dear Enews Friends,
People often ask me why I write “Grace + Peace” at the end of my emails. I do this because most of the New Testament books start or end with the phrase “grace and peace.” In that era, this simple yet deep theological phrase was how you would greet someone or bless them before leaving. Recently, I was reading through 1 Peter (not 3 Peter, Marshall) and discovered how grace was one of the central themes of the book. Peter details not only how crucial grace is but also how it should impact every facet of our lives. So this weekend, bring your Bible and do whatever you can to join us for the Grace + kickoff!
We will also celebrate Communion together. There’s no better way to begin a series about grace than looking to the One who gave it all for us. Our creative team has something special planned that I believe you will remember for a very long time. I look forward to seeing you this weekend!
Grace + Peace,
