Willow Enews | DadFest!

Dear Enews Friends,

For the past 30 years, there has been a ministry that is near and dear to our church’s heart called C.A.R.S. Each week, people at Willow donate cars, and our outstanding team of staff and volunteers get those cars ready to be given to someone in need in our area. It’s an amazing ministry that serves hundreds of people every year—and it couldn’t happen without you.

Since the beginning of DadFest, the C.A.R.S. ministry has been a huge driver for this weekend celebration of dads. In addition to championing the car show again this year, C.A.R.S. is going to give away 30 cars to people in need this weekend to celebrate their 30th anniversary! Only God!

Speaking of this weekend, friends, you don’t want to miss it. Do your best to be on time because there is something special to kick off our services that you’ll remember for a long time. One of Willow’s favorites, best-selling author and comedian Ken Davis, will be teaching on three crucial words we all must hear. I will also have the chance to interview Pro Football Hall of Famer Ray Lewis about faith and what it requires to achieve greatness. And Matt and Marshall have something up their sleeves to celebrate announcements … I mean dads.

After the services, we’re going to have a plethora of family-friendly activities for all ages. On Saturday night, we’ll have a free fireworks display, dozens of food trucks, inflatables, live music, and a car show—just to name a few. On Sunday after the 11:30 a.m. service (note the time change!), at 1 p.m. we will attempt to break another Guinness World Record for the largest game of football over and under.

Whether in the service or during the activities afterward, our whole desire is to create moments for fun, connection between families, and an environment where dads can feel seen and appreciated. DadFest is one of the easiest invites you can make. Take a risk and invite a friend or family member to join you this weekend. Who knows what God might do?

I look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Grace + Peace,

Steve Carter
