Dear Enews Friends,
This weekend is one we have been planning and looking forward to since January! When I started doing vision-planning meetings with our staff and key volunteers, I heard from many people that it has been a long time since we've really celebrated our volunteers and lifted up the value of serving together. We have done that in different ways throughout Willow's history, but we all agreed it was time to mark it on the calendar again and say a great big "Thank You!"
We have thousands of volunteers who serve every week to make church happen. I try to slip out of one of the services each weekend to walk around and see the rest of the church in action. I get to walk by and thank the traffic volunteers. I get to swing by Special Friends and commend those men and women for the ways they love our kids. I get to walk through Promiseland, Elevate, and Impact to see small group leaders who are creating community for our kids and students. I get to see other volunteers every step of the way who are serving coffee, greeting guests, and working behind the scenes. We see you, and we are so grateful for the work that you do!
The creative team has put together a fantastic time of worship, and Steve is ready to go with a message from God's Word that will be insightful for all of us. After each service, we will have a celebration out in the lobby and information about ways you can volunteer. There will be massive sub sandwiches throughout the whole lobby! Stop by to grab a piece and know we are each a part of the big picture of what God is doing in this church. You matter, and we are so glad that you are part of Willow.
With love and gratitude,
P.S. Don't forget that Baptism is next weekend! We get to hear stories of transformation and see firsthand how God is changing lives. If this is your time to make a public declaration of your faith, you can get more information here.
