Celebration of Hope concludes this weekend with a message by Director of the International Justice Mission Gary Haugen and the 5K Run for Refugees. This family-friendly event at Willow Creek’s South Barrington campus helps raise awareness about the refugee crisis in the Middle East—and extends the compassion of Christ to refugees and their families. All proceeds go toward providing mentoring and entrepreneurial opportunities to help refugees rebuild their lives in productive ways.
Race capacity is 4,500. Limited walk-up registration is available during packet pick up times. See Race Day Schedule.

Last weekend, Founder and Director of Preemptive Love Coalition Jeremy Courtney shared his living in Iraq, caring for and working with those who have fled war-torn areas. Jeremy challenged the community to “love first and ask questions later,” which is all too often not the norm. “It’s only by giving our lives away that we actually find life,” continued Jeremy. Watch Jeremy’s interview on Willow Creek TV here.
Willow’s global partners in Jordan and Iraq are providing for tens of thousands of refugees, including those like Carlos. Delivering life-saving supplies and presenting long-term rebuilding solutions. The Willow Creek Run for Refugees is one of the ways you can support our partners on the front lines.
