A vision of hope

Dear Enews Friends,

I was so moved by the way our church rallied to gather donations for those affected by Hurricane Florence. We sent three semi-trucks full of supplies that were distributed in Fayetteville and Lumberton, North Carolina this past week. Thank you for the many ways you serve those in need in our community and around the world.

Our partners on the ground in the Carolinas say the flooding and damage are almost unimaginable, and thousands have lost everything they own. We are extending our collection through Sunday, September 23 and will send a second delivery next week. Please pray for those who are rebuilding in the wake of Florence—and consider purchasing a few toiletries to donate. View the list of items needed and drop-off locations here.

This weekend, Matt Wright will bring a message about having hope in trying times. I encourage you to spend time thinking about the areas of your life where you most need a fresh vision of hope. Let’s gather together, bring our requests before God, lift up His name, and see how He will move in and through us.

With you,

Steve Gillen

P.S. Just a reminder—we created an opt-in email for those who would like to stay informed during this transitional season of our church. The email will include process updates on Elder selection, governance, the investigation, and ways to pray. Sign up here. I’ll keep you informed of any major announcements or churchwide changes as they arise.
