Dear Willow Friends,
What a week we've had! Two days ago, we hosted our first-ever GroupLaunch event with the goal of connecting every person who wants to find a small group. More than 750 people came and took a step into community. I am humbled and grateful for those of you who chose to lead a small group and those who took the risk to join one. I truly believe some of God’s greatest work in our church will come through the relationships we build that lead us closer to Him.
This weekend, we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in our services with a message from Eugene Cho called “Everyone Loves Justice ... Until There's a Cost.” Dr. King led our nation in breaking down barriers through a path of peace that was founded in the teachings of Jesus. We will explore John 4 to see how Jesus broke down stereotypes, prejudices, and expectations—and how we, as a church and individuals, can tear down walls of injustice in our world.
P.S. In two weeks, we begin our Journey through John, complete with weekend teachings, daily devotionals, and small-group guides for all ages. Books are available this weekend, so pick one up and get ready to dive into God’s Word together!
