Blessings from struggles

Dear Enews Friends,

I am still moved by the ways God met us last weekend. Our worship and creative teams led us through a beautiful time of worship and prayer that I will remember for a long time.

This week, I had the opportunity to connect with many of our staff members. These have been difficult days, but they are looking to Christ, and I am deeply encouraged by their faith and heart for building our church. Please keep our staff in your prayers as they process, seek healing, find rest, and continue to lead our volunteers and congregation well.

This weekend, we'll explore the life of Jacob from Genesis, and I'll bring a message about the blessings that come from struggles. I’ve said it before, but I want to remind you again: we need each other—we need you. I hope each of us will work to carry one another's burdens, remind each other about the goodness of our God, and seek Him as our shepherd and comfort in the days ahead.

I hope you'll join us this weekend. I’m confident that God will move in our midst.

With you,

Steve Gillen

P.S. Fall launch for our student ministries, Elevate and Impact, is this weekend. My kids are starting middle school and high school this fall, and I’ve seen firsthand how important their leaders and small groups have been for them. Please do everything you can to bring your kids to church this weekend and help them start the school year with a strong foundation of community.
