The We Are Here series gave us the chance to reflect on where we are as a church—and seek God to help us grow through serving, worship, prayer, and sharing. We ended with “Here to Share,” and it was a reminder for me of Jesus’ last—and great—commission. He told His followers to go and make disciples so that individuals' lives would be changed by His love, and our world would be changed by His presence through them.
I’ve learned that sharing faith rarely happens in an instant. It happens over time as relationships grow and life happens. People see God at work in our lives as we walk through trials and celebrate victories. Our testimonies are our greatest tools.
Tomorrow in place of Lakeside teaching, Midweek will be in RELATE for God Use This, a one-night class to help you leverage your story to share God’s hope. It starts at 7 p.m. in the Activity Center. I hope you’ll take this opportunity to learn together!
P.S. Breakaway, our junior-high camp, is a few weeks away. I’ve seen the power of camps in my own kids’ lives, as a few days away helps them form deeper connections with God and their small groups. Registration closes this Sunday—learn more and sign up here.
