A Note From Steve

One of the many things that delights me about being part of the South Barrington community is that we get to offer our amazing buildings and grounds at value cost to our neighbors. In the past few weeks alone, we’ve hosted graduations for Barrington and Hoffman Estates High Schools, a gathering for the Mexican consulate, the FILO conference, weddings, funerals, and more.

Jesus had a lot to say about being good stewards of our possessions: “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required” (Luke 12:48, NLT).

We’ve been given much. Through the generosity of our Willow Creek community, we’ve been blessed with a beautiful campus and remarkable facilities. And it’s a privilege to get to share those blessings and extend our hospitality to people who might never have walked through our doors for a weekend service. What better way to be introduced to our church than to first experience it while making family memories at a wedding in our Chapel, marking unforgettable milestones at a graduation in our Main Auditorium, or sharing a team-building lunch at a leadership conference in the Activity Center?

A huge shout-out to our facilities team—Campus Care, Grounds, and Trades—who keep our property immaculately groomed, in great repair, and sparkling clean. Team, you help us be the best stewards of all that God has given us, and we are thankful for you.

Next time you see these folks on campus, thank them. Each one of us, and our community, benefits from their gifts and efforts.

With gratitude,
