High School Ministry Associate Director

The Associate Director of our High School Ministry (Student Impact) reports directly to the Student Impact Director and oversees the Community Life and Operations teams by providing leadership support to Youth Pastors, House Group Leaders and Small Group Leaders.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and support to the Community Life team of Youth Pastors, House Group Leaders, Small Group Leaders
  • Create and implement an annual leadership development plan for Community Life staff and volunteers that includes shepherding, training, resources, pastoral support and clear next steps
  • Work with the Community Life Pastors to recruit, onboard, shepherd, train and retain an army of Small Group Leaders
  • Create an implement a path of assimilation and discipleship for high school students; moving them from being guests, to friends, to a part of the Impact family
  • Provide leadership and support to the Operations Director and Operations Administrative Assistant
  • Work with the Operations team to create opportunities for our students to serve within Willow Creek and in the Chicagoland area
  • Work with the weekend production and teaching teams to create powerful weekend gatherings
  • Assist with creating and implementing a strategic plan for reaching the 20,000+ high school students within ten miles of Willow Creek 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience working with high school students and overseeing full-time pastoral staff
  • Experience developing a leadership development plan for volunteers as well as students
  • Skilled in leadership development
  • Strategic and Innovative thinker
  • Disciple maker
  • Systems oriented
  • College Degree
  • Spiritual gifts of leadership, teaching, knowledge, discernment, shepherding, and/or evangelism
  • Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. and be on your feet for long stretches of time
