Wednesday Night Kids' Program
On Wednesday nights at Willow, kids can build confidence by discovering how to understand the Bible and by experiencing the track of their choice: art, drama, or team challenge. While trying something new, kids can anticipate fun, encouragement, and love in a safe environment.
The program begins at 7 p.m. and lasts until 8:30 p.m.
Willow is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for all kids. Child care is available for infants through age 5. Kindergarteners and 1st graders can connect and build relationships with other kids their age, learn and engage in a Scripture teaching, and be involved in the tracks of art, drama, and team challenge on a rotation schedule.
Kids in grades 2 through 5 can connect and build relationships with other kids their age, learn and engage in a Scripture teaching, and choose on a weekly basis the track that they would like to be involved in!
The Wednesday night kids' program is offered from 7–8:30 p.m. year round.
Check-in in the Main Lobby begins at 6:15 p.m. Children may be dropped off at their rooms beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Where do my kids go if I am attending a workshop?
All kids will attend Willow's Wednesday night kids' program and experience the Scripture teaching and their choice of track. Children whose parents attend a support group will meet with empathetic leaders and other kids their age who are experiencing similar family situations. This safe and supportive small group component for kids meets from 8:30–9 p.m. to engage in meaningful small group discussions and experience God's love.
Because of the added small group emphasis, the program extends until 9 p.m.
Check-in in the Main Lobby begins at 6:15 p.m. Children may be dropped off at their rooms beginning at 6:45 p.m.
Is there a student program on Wednesdays?
For junior high students whose parents are attending a support group, Willow offers a safe place where they can find encouragement and learn skills to walk through the difficulties that can come with significant family change.
This student program utilizes team-building strategies, drama, prayer, journaling, story-telling, and creativity to help teens learn different skills and biblical truths that can help them recognize and understand the changes they are experiencing. They will take part in gender-specific small groups with other students their age who are experiencing similar family situations and are led by engaging, empathetic leaders.
Concurrent with the adult support groups, this student support group is offered every eight-week workshop cycle from 7–9 p.m. on Wednesday nights.
