Catalyst Team
I
nspiring and equipping people
to reach those far from God
A catalyst is an agent for change—someone who causes a shift in action, or even in thinking. Willow's Catalyst Team is made up of individuals with a mission to turn irreligious people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, people who act as catalysts in moving people closer to God through a relationship with Christ.
Being part of the Catalyst Team doesn’t mean you have to be a preacher or an evangelist. It’s as simple as having a passion for your friends and family to know God—and being willing to raise the level of risk associated with reaching out to them. The Catalyst Team is here to help equip you with training and resources for doing just that, and to inspire you through events and weekly enews that offer vision and coaching. WATCH VIDEO
Weekend Initiative
Changing the church, one section at a time
The Catalyst Team's weekend initiative seeks to make "big church" small by making sure no one in the team's sight is alone or unconnected during a weekend service. By "adopting" Sections 201/202 and 208/209 on the mezzanine level and 301/302 and 308/309 on the balcony level of the Main Auditorium, Catalyst section hosts build connections with those who sit in their sections during weekend services. The Catalyst Team is looking for individuals to be part of this initiative—people with an entreprenureal attitude who want to make a difference in how guests are introduced to Willow Creek. These team members have hearts to listen to the stories of others, share their own personal stories, and, most of all, are eager to serve. The goal of the Catalyst Team's weekend initiative is to partner with what's happening from the stage and connect it to people in the seats who are being impacted by Christ.
