Throughout the year, Willow Creek's Compassion & Justice ministry organizes short-term trips to visit Willow's global ministry partners and aid in the work they are doing around the world. These trips are 1–2 weeks in length and vary in their goals and the team members sought. Consider joining one of these teams. Your life will never be the same. Teams will be closed when full or approximately 60 days prior to the team departure. Early inquiry and registration is encouraged.

South Africa – Orphan Care Team — A Celebration of Hope Team! Please pray for this team as they serve alongside our partner ministry Genesis in East South Africa. Activities for this team will include various orphan care activities. Date: May 3–14, 2012 – CLOSED

El Salvador – Construction Team – Crystal Lake Team — A Celebration of Hope Team! Please pray for this team as they serve alongside our ministry partner in El Salvador. Activities for this team will include community service projects for the under resourced in the community of our ministry partner. Date: June 9–16, 2012 – CLOSED

Guatemala – Medical Team – Dental and Optometry — A Celebration of Hope Team! Willow Creek is now planning our first medical serving team to serve our ministry partner in western Guatemala. Dentists, hygienists and optometrists needed. Served will be the marginalized who earn less than $2/day. Costa Rica – North Shore Student Impact Team Please pray for this team as they serve alongside our ministry partner Cartago Church in Costa Rica. Date: June 27–July 3, 2012 – CLOSED

El Salvador – Construction Team — A Celebration of Hope Team! Willow Creek is planning this team to serve alongside our ministry partner in El Salvador. Activities for this team will include working to construct improved brick stoves for the under resourced in the community of our ministry partner. No construction skills required. Bolivia – Youth Sport and Painting Team Willow Creek is planning this team to serve alongside our ministry partner Bethesda Church near La Paz. Activities for this team will include painting the sport ministry area and the coordination of a sport event for the youth. Zambia – Teachers Team — A Celebration of Hope Team! Willow Creek will be planning this team to serve the community of our church partners in Samfya, Zambia. We have the opportunity to train and build into the teachers of Samfya who have received limited teaching education. High school teachers, elementary teachers, and also teachers with a focus on literacy welcome. Activities include co-teaching with Zambian teachers, teachers workshops demonstrating different teaching strategies, and encouraging parent-teacher interactions. Mexico Team – Orphan Care Team Please pray for this team as they serve alongside Foundation for His Ministry in Baja, Mexico, a home to 90 orphans. Activities for this team will include assistance with the daily operations and could range from cooking and cleaning, to teaching or working in their medical clinic, to even painting and construction on site. Costa Rica – Construction Team — A Celebration of Hope Team! Willow Creek is planning this team to serve alongside our ministry partner, Shalom Church, with their new church start in Vara Blanca. Activities for this team will include light construction to assist the under resourced in the community of our ministry partner. South Africa – Teachers Team — A Celebration of Hope Team! Willow Creek will be planning this team to serve alongside our partner RUCC Christian School. We have the opportunity to train and build into the students and teachers. There will be a focus on teaching strategies and staff development in the areas of science, math and literacy. Zambia – Medical Team – General, Dental, Optometry — A Celebration of Hope Team! Willow Creek is now planning this medical serving team to Samfya, Zambia. Primary providers, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, dentists, or optometrists needed. Other medical specialists also inquire! This community of 200,000 normally has one physician once a month to see patients. This team will hold an outpatient clinic and also do home based care visits.
