Recovery
Moving from the pain of addiction toward freedom
Are habits or addictions controlling your life? Are you close to someone struggling against addiction? Do you feel alone or isolated trying to fix it on your own? We all have hurts, hang-ups, and struggles. What will you do with yours?
What is Willow Recovery?
Willow Recovery Groups provide support and encouragement for those struggling with—or relationally affected by—hurts, habits, and addictions. You'll experience a safe, confidential place to be heard and understood while working through a Christian 12-step recovery process. You’ll find men and women just like you, people with struggles, addictions, and pain, with a deep desire to get well and move toward a new life.
When does Willow Recovery meet?
Willow Recovery gathers at 7 p.m. in the Lakeside Auditorium, west balcony, each Wednesday night for worship. Immediately following worship, recovery participants gather together for recovery specific teaching, testimony or experience in Room F392. Small groups follow the worship/teaching time and are gender- and issue-specific according to the following categories:
- Alcohol or substance abuse or addiction
- Sexual integrity issues (including pornography)
- Codependence (those affected by a loved one's addiction, including adult children of alcoholics/addicts)
- Food issues or addictions
- Overcoming sexual betrayal
After small groups, recovery participants can continue the conversation over coffee in our Recovery café.
Who can attend Willow Recovery?
Anyone looking to break free of their unresolved hurts, hang-ups, or addictions is welcome. No registration or previous experience with recovery or the Christian faith is required.
If you're not sure if Willow Recovery is for you, just show up and check it out. Find the hope that you can become the person God created you to be.
Willow Recovery gathers every Wednesday night the building is open. See upcoming closures to the right.
Can I volunteer?
Yes! Willow's recovery ministry is expanding, and we need volunteers in a variety of roles including small group leadership, worship, and operations. If you're interested in volunteering, complete the volunteer form on the right.
