Oasis
S
upporting kids and students
during tough times
Oasis, a support ministry for kids whose parents attend a Monday night workshop or recovery group, welcomes infants through high school students to a safe place where they can find encouragement and learn skills to walk through the difficulties that come with significant family change.
What can Oasis offer my child?
Oasis is committed to giving the best care and support possible to your child. In the safety of caring relationships, kids experience God’s love through biblical teaching and meaninful conversations with their leaders and with other children who are experiencing similar challenges. Many Oasis leaders have navigated the same painful or difficult season your child has experienced, or is in the midst of, so they can relate to what your child may be going through.
To ensure a safe and secure environment for your child, all staff and volunteers undergo careful screening and extensive training, and a stringent security identification and check-in/check-out system is utilized without exception.
When is Oasis available?
Oasis is offered from 7–9 p.m. on Monday nights year-round, except on those Mondays when the building is closed for a holiday. See closure dates at right. Check-in for Oasis begins at 6:40 p.m.
Can I volunteer?
Yes! Volunteers with Oasis don’t need to be experts—we’ll train you to be successful in supporting children. And there are plenty of opportunities for people with a variety of gifts and talents.
No matter their role, Oasis volunteers have one thing in common: a commitment to children and families experiencing family change and the pain that comes with it. Volunteering in Oasis gives you an opportunity to make a significant contribution to helping families heal and grow together. If you have a heart for kids and can offer consistency, love, and attention, we have a place for you.
