Matt Wright Worship Leader and Creative Arts Director
Matt Wright-Worship Leader and Creative Arts Director Matt is the Worship Leader and Creative Arts Director for the services at the North Shore. Although he attended church as a child, he did not truly surrender his life to Christ until he was 16 - and that is when everything changed. Relationships, talents, habits, and thoughts were all one by one transformed by the power of God, and Matt is still experiencing that transforming power today. Matt graduated from Baylor University, and after college, he and his new bride Christa moved to Oklahoma where he worked in the corporate world and led worship at a local church before going into full time, vocational ministry. Matt was classically trained in music and is also well versed in leading worship in a modern context with almost all ages and both large and small churches. He is currently working on a Masters of Arts Degree in Worship Leading. He and Christa have a passion for leading worship, songwriting, and missions work. They have a specific heart for using culturally relevant methods to reach people who are living a life without the hope of Christ. When everything else falls away, worship at its core is about surrender, and it is impossible for anyone to be a follower of Christ without learning how to be a worshiper of Christ. Matt is thrilled to be a part of the team at Willow Creek North Shore, whose goal is to continually challenge us all to be worshipers. Matt's style of worship leadership is both energetic and passionate with a continual focus on surrendering to God with the excellence that He deserves.
