2008 Leadership Summit
“God, I fully yield myself to you.”
“I will do your bidding without delay.”
“I will refuse you nothing.”
“I will seek to love You as You have never been loved before.”
“Here I am. Send me.”
Relentless Challenge
These were the challenges extended to those who attended the 2008 Leadership Summit at Willow Creek and 140 satellite sites across North America. “If you were God, would you send you?” asked Bill Hybels to Summit attenders.
Challenges to impact the world came as part of “Relentless,” Hybels’ concluding message that wrapped up Willow Creek’s 13th annual Leadership Summit that will reach 108 cities globally beginning this fall. The Leadership Summit began in 1995 in response to a vision and calling to encourage leadership development for the sake of Christ and his church. This year, the Summit will reach over 100,000 leaders in 300 cities worldwide.

Summit speakers in 2008 were Gary Haugen (president and CEO of International Justice Mission), Bill George (professor at Harvard Business School and former CEO of Medtronic), Wendy Kopp (CEO and founder of Teach for America), John Burke (lead pastor, Gateway Community Church), Efrem Smith (senior pastor, The Sanctuary Covenant Church), Craig Groeschel (senior pastor, Lifechurch.tv), Chuck Colson (chairman and founder, Prison Fellowship Ministries), Catherine Rohr (founder and CEO, Prison Entrepreneurship Program), Brad Anderson (vice-chairman and CEO, Best Buy, Inc.), and Bill Hybels, senior pastor, Willow Creek Community Church.
