Casa de Luz Adds a Service

When a handful of Spanish-speaking Creekers began meeting as a small group, they had no idea their small group would turn into Willow Creek’s Spanish-speaking church. Today, Casa de Luz (House of Light) worships with services conducted entirely in Spanish.

Now, in their second year as a church, Casa has grown to approximately 350 people. This growth has prompted Casa to add a 9 a.m. service beginning Sunday, May 11.

“This added service will provide a time for families to attend a service in their own language,” said Hector Hermosillo, pastor at Casa de Luz.  “Our goal is to continue to be intentional as we create multi-generational services, which is so important to the Hispanic community.”  Also, by adding this new service, members can find more opportunities to integrate themselves as volunteers in Casa de Luz.

The new service will be in addition to the current 11:15 a.m. service.
