WCMC: Worship on Wednesday

(July 8, 2008)

Hello Willow Creek McHenry County e-news friends!

I hope that you had a great 4th of July weekend and that you found time to enjoy friends and family. I had an amazing experience this weekend. A friend of mine is passionate about fireworks and actually does his own fireworks show every 4th of July. So, my wife and I joined a caravan of friends, and we headed to Indiana to watch. It was unbelievable. There was music and wonder, and for about 15 minutes, we were in complete awe at the power and spectacle of this fireworks show! It was without question, the best I’ve ever seen. We drove 2 hours each way for 15 minutes of awe, and it was completely worth it.

This Wednesday, we have the chance to put every 4th of July fireworks show combined to shame by coming together and experiencing the awe and wonder of the King of Kings. When the people of God come together to put all of our collective energy in magnifying the designer of eternity, we actually experience heaven on earth….talk about fireworks.

There are many things that you could do with your Wednesday night, but an experience around the throne of the King is not something that I think you will regret.

“I need to hire a baby sitter”, you say?? Not to worry, we have childcare for up to age 5. If they are 6 or older, come on in the big room and let them sing their hearts out.

See you Wednesday at 7 p.m.
