 Marcus has a holy fire in his bones to see the Church truly be the Body of Christ and to become an unstoppable force for redemptive good in the world today. He has served at the Virginia Beach Community Chapel since 2002, most recently as Lead Pastor. Born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, he holds a B.A. from Loyola University Chicago, a Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Regent University's School of Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship. He’s also enjoyed working with other church leaders and Aubrey Malphurs as the East Coast Consultant for The Malphurs Group.
Marcus is married to Annie, the woman of his dreams, and they have 3 cherub-like children: 5-year-old George ("G-Force"), 3-year-old Benjamin (the "Tankasaurus"), and 1˝-year-old Lucy (the "Pudgy-Wudgy Pwincess"). They also expect to travel to Ethiopia in mid-2008 to fulfill the dream of bringing home an adopted baby girl.
