How did you come to be on Staff at WCMC?
Early on I wanted to be a dentist. Instead I went on to become a professor at Northern Illinois University and to work as a marriage and family therapist. In February of 1999, I responded to God’s clear call to begin working with Willow Creek as director of the Oasis ministry. In 2003, I moved into the position of Community Care Director on the McHenry staff team and currently serve as the Executive Pastor.
What is your life like outside of WCMC?
I am married to Bill, and have five children and have also been blessed with grandchildren. I love the outdoors, particularly the Smoky Mountains and the beach; both settings strengthen my connection with God. I can be described as passionate, energetic and fun-loving, all of which aid in my worship and in my connection with people.
What is most important to you?
My relationship with Christ is most important to me.
I would want my headstone to read: "Passionate for the aroma of Christ."
