Africa Mission Activity2007

In 2007, Willow Creek Community Church Global Connections ministry was blessed with the compassionate response of a loving congregation responding to the needs of the poor and those suffering from the HIV/AIDS pandemic taking place in Africa.

Through God's blessings we were able to deploy just over $2,400,000 in value, including GIK and some matching funds. Direct funding in the amount of $2,165,000 to our partners in Africa changed 119,369 lives and touched another 102,687 lives for a total impact of 222,056 persons. 'Changed' lives means those who received direct care or training which had a significant impact on their life, and 'Touched' lives means those who received indirect care or training as a result of a family member under care.

Global Connections is now serving in five African countries; Angola, Ethiopia, Malawi, South Africa, and Zambia. Below are some of the partners and programs we assisted in 2007. The impact numbers represent only the people which received help in the programs we support as you can see most of our partners are doing much more in their communities.
