The Guiding Values of Strategic Partnership

In order to be strategic in the formation of ministry partnerships and live out the vision, mission, and values of Global Connections, we have articulated values that reflect what we desire in a partner relationship that guide us during the investigation of possible ministry partners.

1. We believe in empowering the local church to become the agent of transformation in under-resourced communities, seeing lost people come to Christ, and reaching into society with the compassion and justice of God¹s Kingdom.
2. We believe in wholistic ministry (evangelism, discipleship, compassion and justice) as the tool for transformation that empowers local churches to become relevant in contexts of human need and suffering.
3. We are committed to valuing and utilizing local resources in an effort to promote self-sustainability and to avoid unhealthy dependencies.
4. We endeavor to develop appropriate gift-based serving opportunities for serving teams from Willow Creek Community Church.
5. We strive for and support organizational and doctrinal integrity.
6. We endeavor to encourage strong, responsible, and accountable leadership.
7. We recognize our role in the education of the body of Willow Creek in the understanding of how God is working in the context of international ministry, and of how to be true servants.
8. We are committed to assisting our partners in working toward a dynamic alliance of national Christian ministries which model Christian community and share a common vision for greater Kingdom impact.
9. We seek to target the transition of Global Connections partnerships to the relationship structure of a national alliance of like-minded ministries.
