rowing spiritually is not instantaneous; it happens by taking intentional steps one day at a time, and doing that within community. At Willow Creek, we are committed to coming alongside anyone who wants to move forward in their relationship with God. People who desire to get connected relationally and get involved in the life of this church are encouraged to attend our Getting Started experience. Come find out if Willow Creek is the place for you!
Getting Started 101: Welcome to Willow
At Willow Creek, we are committed to coming alongside anyone who wants to move forward in their relationship with God—and finding a local church you can call 'home' is a significant part of that journey. If you're interested in getting connected at Willow or getting involved in the life of this church, Getting Started 101: Welcome to Willow is your first step. Learn about Willow's ministries, its history, beliefs, and values, and how to get involved. Children are welcomed to attend with their parents.

Getting Started 201: The Power of a Whisper
Anyone can say they heard God's voice. But how do you really learn to listen to Him? How can you tell His whisper from the voice of others—or from yourself? And when God speaks, do you know how to respond? Getting Started 201: The Power of a Whisper is a two-week journey through The Power of a Whisper: Hearing God, Having the Guts to Respond by Senior Pastor Bill Hybels. Using DVD teaching, group interaction, and personal study, this class equips you to grow in your relationship with God so you can hear and respond to His voice frequently, consistently, and intimately.
Getting Started 301: Discover Your Wiring
What are your talents and gifts? How are you wired? When do you feel most fulfilled in a volunteer role? At Willow, people serve in all kinds of ministries that make a difference in the world—which one(s) excite you the most? In Getting Started 301: Discover Your Wiring, you can learn to better understand your personality, work on identifying your calling as part of the local church, and find the ministry role that best fits your gifts, calling, and passion.
Getting Started 401: Just Walk Across the Room
Just Walk Across the Room presents a natural and empowering way to reaching out to others—an approach that's modeled after Jesus himself, who extended Himself to others with friendship and unconditional love. He had no forced formulas, no memorized script. Getting Started 401: Just Walk Across the Room inspires you to participate in that same pattern of living—extending God's grace by taking simple walks across rooms. Based on Bill Hybels' book and workbook by the same name, this class equips you to leave your circle of comfort and extend hands of care, compassion, and inclusiveness to people who might need a touch of God's love.
