Children's Ministry (Promiseland): Middle-Childhood Programmer

Do you have a passion to be an up front leader and teacher of children for ages 4 through grade 1?

We are looking for a fantastic individual to meet the needs of this growing ministry! In this role as the Middle-Childhood Programmer for our South Barrington Promiseland ministry, you will be the person responsible for adapting lessons to create and execute highly engaging middle-childhood age curriculum and programming. You will utilize your creative communication skills to execute weekend programs along side a team of volunteers. Your responsibilities will include the recruitment and development of a volunteer teaching team. You will be adapting curriculum and delivery across this age group which will be responsible for engaging approximately 700 kids during the Saturday and Sunday services. The success of our ministry relies on staff team work, servant leadership, and the continual development of key volunteers. Promiseland Stage Set Creator (Part-Time)

This part time position develops and creates Large Group stage sets and environments for Promiseland Programming. promiseland is our Children's Ministry for Age 2 - Grade 5. This person will create prayer walls, stage sets, large props as well as teaching resources and materials. in addition this person will need to develope, equip and retain a team of volunteers. He/she must also be able to brainstorm and partner with Promiseland Production and Programming teams.

Skills needed for this position include visual creativity, craftsmanship, organization, team building and familiarity with the needs of children. Experience in the visual arts, craftsmanship and set design are preffered.

The PromiseTowne Lead Teacher for Infants plans both long- and short-range activities according to curriculum objectives, practices and program philosophy for infants. Operations: Campus Care Cleaning Technician (PT Saturday Nights)

Do you ever stop and wonder who is it that keeps our church looking so good? We have a team of people who clean and maintain our church facility at a high standard. We are looking for someone who is full of energy, detail-minded, and enjoys accomplishing things as part of a team.

The Director of Photography/Editor creates visual stories in a variety of formats that connect with and inspire Willow Creek attendees. This position is responsible for all aspects of visual storytelling from pre- to post-production that includes creating and shooting new video and editing.

Weekend Audio Engineer

Are you a skilled audio engineer with a focus on mixing monitors?

Do you want to work in a fast-paced environment executing weekly services and large events?

As a Weekend Monitor Engineer you will work on a team of skilled technical artists to execute Weekend and Midweek services. This position supports artists and bands through the use of in-ear monitor mixes. Previous experience mixing high channel counts and outputs using scene management is required. As a Weekend Monitor Engineer you will also be using your audio background to enhance systems and processes.

  • Build healthy working relationships with bands, artists, and other audio staff
  • Occasional FOH operation at services and church events

Weekend Lighting Engineer

As a Weekend Lighting Engineer you will work on a team of skilled technical artists to support lighting and projection for Weekend and Midweek services, as well as yearly large events. Additional responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining lighting systems for the Main Auditorium and Lakeside venues. The ideal candidate has a background in complex lighting setups, experience with projection and media servers, and a desire to support both using a broad set of skills.

Job responsibilities:

  • Weekly support of Weekend services through fixture and system setup, creative lighting use, routine maintenance, and contribution to creative projects
  • Occasional operation as the Weekend Lighting Director
  • Regular projection support of Weekend services including design, calculation, setup & rigging, and alignment of multiple projectors and surfaces. Also included is media server programming and occasional service operation.
  • Routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and lighting systems support
  • Weekly service execution as the Midweek Lighting Director including meetings, programming, execution, and occasional work supporting scenic design in the Lakeside auditorium.
  • Support for multiple large events per year. Lighting responsibilities include complex data and power design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Also includes leading the setup and strike crew and contributing to projects. Projection responsibilities include design, setup, and alignment, in addition to media server programming and operation.

Job requirements:

  • 2-3 years paid production experience, ministry background a plus
  • Deep working knowledge of moving light consoles including GrandMA 1 & 2
  • Knowledge of network based DMX systems
  • Experience with large venue projectors including calculation, setup, and alignment
  • Ability to learn programming and operation of media servers including D3, Pandora’s Box, and ProVideoPlayer
  • Experience using CAD in a production environment, WYSIWYG background a plus
  • Rigging and non-linear video editing experience a plus.

Shop Assistant

The shop assistant will help with cleaning and light maintenance of the Grounds ministry facilities, vehicles and equipment. The assistant may also run errands such as picking up mechanical parts for vehicles and occasionally assisting with snow removal as needed. This position requires a Class D drivers’ license. Experience with light vehicle maintenance and operating small machinery is preferred but not necessary. The hours for Shop Assistant are 5 days a week from 1pm – 5pm.

This role could be considered for full time employment working additional hours with our Campus Care ministry as a Set Up and Cleaning Technician.

Job Description

The Technical Director (TD) is responsible for the oversight and operation of all audio, video and lighting systems as well as all production volunteers. The TD will also recruit, train and develop volunteers in use of all major technical systems.

NORTH SHORE: Student Ministries: Student Ministries Pastor

Does writing messages and brainstorming creative programming for students 6th through 12th grade give you energy?

Are you passionate about shepherding students to find their uniqueness in Christ?

In this full time role this person will serve as the leader and pastor of our student ministries. They will be responsible for the overall success of both of our (two) middle school services and our high school service. They will be the primary teacher and vision caster of our ministry and be responsible for shepherding our students. They will be part of our pastoral leadership team, they will oversee our student ministries staff, and be responsible for developing key volunteers and leaders in our ministry and working with parents to lead students into a deeper level of devotion to Christ. This person needs to have the spiritual gifts of leadership, preaching, and shepherding. This person needs to have the spiritual maturity to be seen as a strong Christian leader who models the Christian walk makes decisions based on biblical principles, and who can work through conflict.

This role will be in charge of maintenance, purchases, and installs of equipment. This person is also responsible for scheduling, recruiting, training, and maintaining Production teams. You will focus on accomplishing the mission and vision of the church through the Casa ministry and its sub-ministries. Casa currently hosts a Sunday 11:15am Weekend Worship Service using video and live teaching with all other service elements and weekend ministries being performed live.

The Section Leader oversees the mid-sized community that sits in a particular section at the 11:15am Weekend Worship Service of Casa de Luz, leading and equipping them to become a fully functioning Acts 2 community that reaches more people with God's love, challenges each other grow to full devotion in Christ, and serves the needs of the church and the community. You must be currently attending Willow Creek Community Church to be considered for this part time (10 hours a week) role and be bilingual (Spanish/English).

If so, please consider joining our regional team at Willow Creek Community Church. We are looking for a creative and energetic person to help us build and launch the student ministry of a new campus. This person will be a key part of the leadership of our church.

This role is responsible to design and lead weekly student services and small groups that lead students to deeper levels of devotion to Christ. They will recruit, train, and coach volunteers to carry out the mission of the student ministry. They will walk with families through crisis and difficult situations. Finally, they will organize and attend several retreats/mission trips per year.
