Children's Ministry (Promiseland): Late-Childhood Programmer

Do you have a passion to be an up front leader and teacher of children for grades 2–5?

Are you able to clearly and creatively communicate the Bible that engages large groups of kids?

Do you work best when you're collaborating with other people and teams?

We are looking for a fantastic individual to meet the needs of this growing ministry! In this role as the Late-Childhood Programmer for our South Barrington Promiseland ministry, you will be the person responsible for adapting lessons to create and execute highly engaging late-childhood age curriculum and programming. You will utilize your creative communication skills to execute weekend programs along side a team of volunteers. Your responsibilities would include the recruitment and development of a volunteer teaching team. You will partner with the another Late-Childhood Programmer on all aspects of adapting curriculum and delivery across this age group of grades 2–5. This open position will be responsible for engaging approximately 700 kids during the Saturday and Sunday services. The success of our ministry relies on staff team work, servant leadership, and the continual development of key volunteers.

Our Promiseland ministry that serves children, infants through grade 5, is looking for a part time (30 hours per week) Media Specialist. This person will be responsible for creating and editing all media needed for the weekend experiences for children, ministry events, and recruiting efforts. If you have previous technical experience in video production, graphic design, and enjoy building a volunteer team in a ministry setting, this role may be a fit for you. Discipleship: Director of Section Communities

This person will lead the section community strategy at Willow Creek Community Church. This full time position is responsible for building the infrastructure that supports the efforts to fill, connect, disciple, and mobilize the congregation. This includes establishing the direction of the section community strategy, recruiting, training, and coaching all section leaders, and collaborating with other ministries.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, organizational development, and effective communication. He/she must have strong people skills and a driving passion to reach people who are far from God. The candidate must embrace the ability to work within a community and promote innovation through collaboration. In addition, the individual will show an ability to connect across generations.

Supervisory experience in a multi-staff setting is required.

Discipleship: Executive Director of Discipleship/Teaching Pastor

We are looking for a dynamic leader who will lead the discipleship efforts at Willow Creek helping the congregation become fully devoted followers of Jesus. This person is responsible for building the discipleship value in our church which includes establishing the direction and oversight of the discipleship ministry, teaching, developing curriculum, and providing oversight to small groups and volunteerism values.

This person would serve on the teaching team and have teaching opportunities for weekend and mid-week services and other venues around the church. This person must be an inspiring, authentically biblical, and relational communicator and hold a Masters of Divinity or similar level degree. We are looking for a conversational, expository style of teaching focused on helping people grow deeper in their understanding of Scripture and providing the foundation for them to grow spiritually.

Experience in a large church setting and supervisory experience in a multi-staff setting is preferred.

Discipleship: Section Leader (Part Time)

Do you have a passion for creating a connected community within our church?

Do you have a desire to raise up and lead a team of volunteers, encouraging them to serve the church with their spiritual gifts and passions?

Family Life: PromiseTowne Lead Teacher — Toddlers–Age 2 (Part Time)

Are you a seasoned, proactive early-childhood educator with child development experience and a passion for meeting the spiritual, emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of children?

As the Toddler/2's lead teacher in our child day care center, PromiseTowne, you have the opportunity to make an extraordinary impact. Daily open communication with parents and maintaining a safe and healthy environment of learning and play are among your key responsibilities. You will also supervise the assistant teacher as you plan long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives. You must possess at least one year (1,560 clock hours) of child development work experience with the Toddler/2's age group and have at least 30 college semester hours, with six of those hours in Early Childhood Education. You must also be or become a participating member of Willow Creek Community Church.

Lead teacher hours are Tuesdays through Fridays (34 hours per week — 8:15 a.m.–4:45 p.m.).

Human Resources: Benefits & Payroll Coordinator (Part Time)

This part time (25 hour per week) position will ensure all benefit and HR payroll processes are executed flawlessly and with a fantastic customer service orientation. This person will administer benefit and retirement programs, conduct benefit orientations, assist staff members with benefit questions, manage the ADP database, and work with payroll to ensure payroll accuracy.

Information Technology (I.T.): Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking a Christ-centered professional with excellent technical and problem solving skills that will thrive in a fast-paced team environment. This person will work with the Senior Infrastructure Engineer to identify and implement new technology solutions in network administration, production systems, building automation and communication systems, along with maintaining and monitoring existing systems. On the job training is available.

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Degree in Computer Networking or similar field required
  • Experience with Linux, Exchange, Active Directory, SQL, iSCSI, SAN and Sonicwall
  • Skills in complex routing platforms, protocols and operating systems in high performance LAN/WAN environments
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) is preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience in computer network management is preferred
  • Experience in managing end client networks is preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously and independently
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills with a focus on customer service

Stewardship: Stewardship Pastor

Do you have a passion for leading and coaching stewardship principles and practices with others?

The Stewardship Pastor is a key leadership position which includes challenging, coaching and equipping our congregation in the area of stewardship and giving. Responsibilities includes creating, implementing, and facilitating workshops and classes to help embed the principles of Biblical financial stewardship into the lives of all Willow Creek members and attenders. He/she will also lead and develop a dynamic team of volunteers who can facilitate groups and model the life of a good steward. Oversight of the Estate Planning and Professional Advisors team is also included. In addition, this person will proactively and holistically cultivate the spiritual gift of giving and a heart of generosity in our congregation. Ministering to all people, from those in financial crisis to those who have abundance, the Stewardship Pastor will encourage biblical ways to participate in kingdom endeavors that best leverage their season of life, passions, "holy discontent”, calling, and resources.
