Children's Ministry (Promiseland): Late-Childhood Programmer

Do you have a passion to be an up front leader and teacher of children for grades 2–5?

Are you able to clearly and creatively communicate the Bible that engages large groups of kids?

We are looking for a fantastic individual to meet the needs of this growing ministry! In this role as the Late-Childhood Programmer for our South Barrington Promiseland ministry, you will be the person responsible for adapting lessons to create and execute highly engaging late-childhood age curriculum and programming. You will utilize your creative communication skills to execute weekend programs along side a team of volunteers. Your responsibilities would include the recruitment and development of a volunteer teaching team. You will partner with the another Late-Childhood Programmer on all aspects of adapting curriculum and delivery across this age group of grades 2–5. This open position will be responsible for engaging approximately 700 kids during the Saturday and Sunday services. The success of our ministry relies on staff team work, servant leadership, and the continual development of key volunteers.

Communication Coordinator – Part Time

The primary purpose of this position is to implement the communication strategy that promotes Compassion and Justice (C&J) initiatives to the congregation and the surrounding community. This role will also collaborate with other internal departments to achieve brand consistencies and communicate C&J ministry efforts through written, verbal and electronic mediums.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with other ministries to maintain the C&J website by keeping content and images fresh and creating and maintaining registration forms for events as needed. This position will also manage the development and implementation of collateral materials for C&J initiatives as well as coordinate efforts with communications volunteers. In addition, this person will coordinate and facilitate the ongoing production of the monthly C&J e-newsletter.

Discipleship: Director of Section Communities

This person will lead the section community strategy at Willow Creek Community Church. This full time position is responsible for building the infrastructure that supports the efforts to fill, connect, disciple, and mobilize the congregation. This includes establishing the direction of the section community strategy, recruiting, training, and coaching all section leaders, and collaborating with other ministries.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership, organizational development, and effective communication. He/she must have strong people skills and a driving passion to reach people who are far from God. The candidate must embrace the ability to work within a community and promote innovation through collaboration. In addition, the individual will show an ability to connect across generations.

Supervisory experience in a multi-staff setting is required.

Discipleship: Executive Director of Discipleship/Teaching Pastor

We are looking for a dynamic leader who will lead the discipleship efforts at Willow Creek helping the congregation become fully devoted followers of Jesus. This person is responsible for building the discipleship value in our church which includes establishing the direction and oversight of the discipleship ministry, teaching, developing curriculum, and providing oversight to small groups and volunteerism values.

This person would serve on the teaching team and have teaching opportunities for weekend and mid-week services and other venues around the church. This person must be an inspiring, authentically biblical, and relational communicator and hold a Masters of Divinity or similar level degree. We are looking for a conversational, expository style of teaching focused on helping people grow deeper in their understanding of Scripture and providing the foundation for them to grow spiritually.

Experience in a large church setting and supervisory experience in a multi-staff setting is preferred.

Discipleship: Section Leader (Part Time)

Evangelism: Evangelism Director

You must possess at least one year (1,560 clock hours) of child development work experience with the Toddler/2's age group and have at least 30 college semester hours, with six of those hours in Early Childhood Education. You must also be or become a participating member of Willow Creek Community Church.

Lead teacher hours are Tuesdays through Fridays (34 hours per week — 8:15 a.m.–4:45 p.m.).

Pastoral Care: Direct-Care Pastor

Willow’s Pastoral Response staff, whose mission is to help people leverage the painful seasons in their lives for God’s redemptive purposes, is looking for someone to join their team. This individual will provide leadership, direction, and development to the pastors, staff, and volunteers who provide direct, day-to-day pastoral care to our congregation. By equipping our highly trained pastoral volunteers (Care Pastors and Hospital Visitation team), this individual will help ensure effective care to those who call or visit the church for emotional, spiritual, or relational guidance.

This individual will be cross-trained for other roles within the Pastoral Response department, such as protection, casework, volunteer training, and documentation. He or she will share the on-call rotation with four other teammates to provide after-hours pastoral coverage for the church.

This full time role will be responsible for the planning, set up, execution, and tear down of all audio required for the 3 weekend services, the Wednesday midweek service, special events, and conferences. If you are an incessant tinkerer, enjoy researching and solving problems, a process driver who thrives on coming up with new methods and equipment, and exhibit composure under pressure, this role may be a fit for you. Stewardship: Stewardship Pastor

NORTH SHORE: Video Producer

This full time position will be the primary visual storyteller for Willow Creek North Shore and is responsible for designing, shooting, and editing video, animation, and graphics that communicate in creative and impactful ways. This person will actively explore and research new visual styles and technologies to create engaging and timely content. Experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop is highly valued. The Video Producer and will have creative input into developing the worship environment and will participate in the technical execution of weekend services by filling a production position that could include lighting, video direction, technical direction, depending on the weekend. This role also includes guiding volunteers during worship services, as well as some service preparation and system maintenance throughout the week.

If you have a passion for communicating through visuals and art and have experience producing video and graphic content while meeting tight deadlines, and you are comfortable managing multiple projects at once and have experience in live production, this role might be for you.
