Meet the Willow DuPage Staff

REECE WHITEHEAD
Campus Pastor

Reece started his ministry career in his homeland Australia as a youth pastor. He and his wife Stephanie have been married for 10 years and three years into his ministry they moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2003. While in Tennessee they celebrated the birth of their daughter Lily. In 2007 they relocated back to Australia and Reece moved out of youth ministry into an associate pastor role, in 2009 their son Chase was born and in the spring of 2011 they moved to Illinois and joined the staff of Willow DuPage.

His energy and excitement for the activities of God is contagious, he loves Jesus and believes we all have a role to play in bringing God's kingdom to others.

ASHLEY DINGLE
Creative Manager

Ashley, the youngest of 4 children, spent her childhood growing up in a tiny northern town just outside of Rockford, Illinois. She has been a part of the Willow DuPage team since early 2010. As part of the programming and production team her focus has included a variety of creative arts such as audio engineering, script writing and stage design. She is excited to extend her gifts even farther as the new Creative Manager of Willow DuPage.

JUDY LATHROP
Care Pastor

Judy is the Mother of 6 children and grandmother of 13 grandchildren as well as numerous foster children. Judy has enjoyed a rich career including Social Worker, Private Practice Family Therapist, and Special Education teacher.

Two of her favorite Scriptures are Nehemiah 8:10b – The joy of the Lord is my strength and James 5:16b – The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

JEFF MARTIN
Campus Operations

Jeff joined our staff in 2009 and has served with joy every Sunday bringing leadership to our Set-up/Tear-down teams and keeping the campus safe and presentable. Jeff has a "can do" attitude that flows out of his love for Jesus. Jeff has a son that just graduated from High School. Jeff loves cars, owns a Harley and loves to be a servant wherever he can!

LUISA MELTON
Children's Connection & Operations

Before joining the Willow DuPage staff, Luisa was a bilingual elementary school teacher for 8 years. She joined our team in 2007 and as part of the Promiseland team, she brings energy on Sundays to provide a dynamic hour for the kids and an environment where children, parents, and volunteers feel known and loved.

Luisa recruits and oversees all the Promiseland volunteers that serve each Sunday and coaches small group leaders. She brings families together through events, small groups, and common interests.

Luisa is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She moved here at the age of 11. Luisa’s better half is Tony, who teaches in Promiseland and they have 2 daughters, Grace (11) and Sofia (9).

WES WILSON
Student Ministry Director

Wes Wilson started his youth ministry career 12 years ago in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked for 8 years on the Elevate staff at South Barrington and joined the DuPage staff in 2012 as the Director of Student Ministries. He met his wife Alexandra at Willow and they have been married for 2 years and have a beautiful baby girl named Wynter.

Wes has a strong passion for working with students and helping them understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus.

SANDY RIGGS
Children's Ministry Director

Sandy Riggs has served in Children’s Ministry for over 15 years. She was on staff in Promiseland at Willow Creek, South Barrington for 7 years and joined the DuPage team in 2012. Sandy has a heart for helping kids know Jesus and develop a faith that sticks.

ALLISON BORTON
Evangelism Pastor

Allison loves to help people meet Jesus and enter into meaningful relationships with Him. With a background as a youth pastor, she joined the staff at Willow DuPage in 2012 to oversee the Alpha Course and to develop community among college students and young adults in our church. Allison will complete her M.A. in Evangelism and Leadership from Wheaton College in spring 2013, and she is grateful to be part of a church where she can use her gifts to advance God’s kingdom.

Allison has been married to her husband, Travis, for eight years, and they have a spunky two-year-old daughter named Genevieve.

TYLER GRISSOM
Community Life Pastor

Tyler is originally from the great state of Oklahoma. He moved to the Chicagoland area right after college to pursue full-time ministry. Tyler has a masters degree in Transformational Leadership from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He has been on staff at Willow Creek South Barrington since 2006 serving as a Pastor and the Associate Director of the Willow Creek Care Center. He and his wife Julie have been married for 3 years.

Tyler loves people, he loves the local church and desires to see people reach their full redemptive potential through the power of authentic community.

SETH WHORTON
Worship Pastor

Seth hails from northwest Louisiana, but has spent most of his ministry as a worship pastor in Dallas, TX. He met his wife Joy while attending college in Florida and they began a family shortly after they married. They have a daughter named Grace, a son named Judah, and a dog named Bones! Seth’s passion is for Jesus and people, music and art is his mode of communication. Nothing brings him more joy and fulfillment than to see others experience the presence of God together!
