Domestic Abuse A 9 session workshop providing support, encouragement, community and resources for women experiencing or having experienced physical, verbal or emotional abuse.
 
2009 Dates   January 12 - March 16   register now
                        (no session - MLK Day, 1/19) 
                     April 13 - June 15 
                        (no session Memorial Day, 5/25)
                     September 21 - November 16
              
Day                     Monday 9 weeks
Time                   7-9 p.m.
Location              Provided with registration conformation 
Cost                    $10 for the 9 week session

  • Help abused women understand how loved and valued they are by God.
  • Provide support, encouragement, love, information and education.
  • Correct misunderstandings of Scripture that may contribute to women staying in abusive situations.
  • Provide a safe place where women can know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served.
  • Rely on the Bible rather than an abusive partner to define a woman's self-worth, value and dignity.
  • Draw women to Jesus Christ as a source of healing.
  • Empower women to feel more in control of their lives and no longer tolerate abuse.
  • Understand abuse is about power and control.
