Volunteer/Leader Development & Oversight

Regional Ministry - Campus Pastor (FT)
Willow Creek Community Church has launched four regional congregations with a strategy to turn irreligious people into fully devoted followers of Christ throughout Chicagoland. Our strategy is to multiply Willow Creek beyond the walls of the South Barrington campus through regional campuses. Our goal is to be “one church in multiple locations.”  Willow Creek is a church with doors wide open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.

Willow is seeking relational Campus Pastors who can teach and lead at regional campuses throughout Chicagoland.  Those with a pioneering spirit, passion for reaching the unchurched, and with spiritual gifts of Leadership, Teaching, and Administration should send their resume to hr@willowcreek.org or call 224 512-1088.

 

Community Life - Area Pastor (FT)
This position leads and pastors an area defined by a local high school boundary to help lead irreligious people into becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.  This is accomplished through the leading of 3 primary initiatives:  Building Redemptive Relationships (7 types of small group experiences), Ceremonies & Care (leading teams to provide a pastoral presence in the area; i.e. weddings, funerals, hospital visits, conflict resolution, etc.), and Service/Compassion & Justice (champion serving, and compassion/justice initiatives in the area).  Those with a passion for the lost, experience in team leadership, leader development, spiritual growth, and Spiritual Gifts of Leadership, Evangelism, and Shepherding should apply.

 

Elevate (Jr. High Ministry) - Programming Director (FT)
This position is responsible for overseeing the development of all Elevate programs,  including equipping & shepherding  teams of student volunteers who serve in the creative arts, to help students begin and grow a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ.  Those with experience in building teams, creative programming, student ministries, and spiritual gifts of Leadership, Creative Communication, and Shepherding should apply.

 

Elevate (Jr. High Ministry) -Group Life Pastor(FT)

This position is responsible for recruiting, developing and leading the adults (coaches and small group leaders) who are shepherding students through small groups, mid-size groups and geographical teams, in an effort to help junior high students follow Jesus.  This position would also include some large and mid-size group teaching of students and adults.  Individuals with experience in student ministry, as well as possessing spiritual gifts of Shepherding, Leadership, Teaching and Discernment should apply.

 

Promiseland- Ministry Director (FT)

We are looking for a high energy, creative, proven visionary leader to lead and manage all aspects of Promiseland's programming, staff, and volunteer development at our South Barrington campus.   This senior level position will have responsibility for leading a staff team of 50+ and a volunteer team of 2400. Those with experience in children’s ministry or children related programs, leading/developing leaders, and who possess a vibrant passion for reaching and developing children to become fully devoted followers of Christ are invited to apply.  The spiritual gifts of  Leadership and Creative  Communication will be most valuable in this role.

Positions focusing on the support of specific ministry needs and processes.

Accounting – Donations Coordinator (PT- 20 hours) This position processes donor checks from the weekend offering and reconciles bank deposits.  Additional responsibilities include: maintaining donor records, posting mission trip and internship donations and assisting with cash reconciliation.  Those with strong computer skills, good customer service skills, who are currently a member of Willow Creek, and with spiritual gifts of Helps, Administration, and Discernment should apply.

Technical/Professional Expertise
Positions focusing on expertise in specific technical and/or professional areas of expertise.

Communications - Web Technical Producer (FT)
This position is responsible for creating engaging multimedia content and front-end web applications for the church’s web site.  This includes creating content through working with Willow ministries, advising how web design concepts can be implemented, and developing web applications that interface with a back-end database.  Experience needed with experience in ASP,  .NET,  CSS, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Flash, and Photoshop.  Additionally, those with experience in web site development, producing multimedia assets, and spiritual gifts of Administration and Creative Communication should apply.

Communications - Web Content Producer (FT)
This position is responsible for writing and developing content for the church web site. This includes developing new content based on current initiatives, assisting church ministries in development of web content, and overseeing editorial content to identify topics and issues to inform the congregation. Those who are proficient in HTML, CSS, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, CMS background, and web writing/editing, with spiritual gifts of Creative Communication and Administration should apply.

Creative, Visual

Programming - Weekend Services Programming Director (FT)
This position is part of the creative team seeking to raise the risk associated with reaching people far from God across Chicagoland.  The creative team (made up of a cross function team of producers, writers, video producers, and music directors) develops the elements of the weekend services to catalytically move people towards a Christ-centered lifestyle. Those who possess a high level of creativity, having organizational skills, experience in working in a collaborative environment, are team oriented, and have the spiritual gifts of leadership, creative communications, and evangelism should send creative samples and resume to Willow Creek Community Church, 67 East Algonquin Rd.
