Caring about the hungry is not enough; we are also called to be a tangible expression of God's love.
During Celebration of Hope 08: Hunger, you have the opportunity to respond to those in hunger by participating in three challenges:
Challenge: Limit Your Consumption
Limit your spending for three short weeks and donate what you’ve saved. You can also participate in the Five–Day Solidarity Challenge, April 21–25, and eat for five days as half the world's population does every day of the year.
Challenge: Experience the Market
Make an investment in the lives of artisans in developing countries by shopping for and learning about Fair Trade certified goods and sustainable ways our partners are addressing hunger in their communities. The World Market will be open in Willow Creek's Lobby on April 26-27, April 30 and May 3-4.
For I was hungry, and you fed me.

Creekers in neighborhoods throughout Chicago collected enough new and gently used clothing, computers, household goods, tools, gardening equipment and school supplies to fill sixteen 40-foot trailer trucks that went to ministry partners in the Dominican Republic, Chile, Malawi, Angola, and the Chicagoland area.
In addition, we sent 4,000 new backpacks filled with health supplies and gifts to encourage key volunteers on the front lines of caring for AIDS survivors in Africa.
